Palazzo Tendenza

I have always been a Denim Loyalist. But nowadays, palazzo pants have become ubiquitous and are the quintessence of summer season's style.

Palazzo pants are long women's trousers that are cut with a loose, wide leg. They first become popular in the 1960s. Even then, they were a recapitulation of the wide-legged cuffed trousers worn particularly by actresses in the 1930s.

In the 1960s, when some restaurants refused to admit women wearing trousers (due to reasons unintelligible to me), they switched to wearing palazzos and culottes.

Palazzo pants flare out evenly from the waist to the ankles and are generally made of light, flowing fabrics in ebullient colours, ideal for the summer. But being omnipotent, they can also be seen in the winters in wool and other heavy fabrics.

The best thing about these pants is that they are comfortable and there is no limit to what you can pair with them.

You can opt for a nonchalant look by wearing them with t-shirts, tank tops and crop tops  or you can look genteel by pairing them with kurtas.

You can also wear them with a crisp, white shirt to make a formal, sober attire.
However you may wear them, you will definitely feel ridiculously comfortable and en vogue.
